A New Season for Baylor University...

Andrew, Mike, Lacy and I attended a Baylor Sports Network Banquet in Dallas on Tuesday night to hear the new Baylor Football coach Art Briles speak about the upcoming Football season. We had a good time talking with other BU Alum. We are really excited about a new coach but at the same time we are worried things are going to be the same. I have been waiting for BU to be good in football since the THIRD GRADE! Crazy I know! I love Baylor though:) We are true fans. Hopefully, Art Briles can change our program and make it something great!

When we were at the dinner we were surprised to see President Lilly in attendance. As some of you know things have been a little rough for the Baylor family these past few months while he has been President. When we were driving home we all talked about how we want Baylor to move in the right direction to achieve our 2012 goal (check out BU website for the goals http://www.baylor.edu/) we felt like it was time for Baylor to make a good decision in the right direction! Well today we all received an email from Baylor eNews.......

Baylor Board Votes to Seek New PresidentGRAPEVINE, Texas -- The Baylor University Board of Regents voted today to begin the search for a new University President. Board Chairman Dr. Howard K. Batson said the decision was necessary in order to unite Baylor's many constituencies and move the University forward in its next period of growth and renewal. Batson said the move represents the Regents' acknowledgement of a need for unifying leadership as Baylor strives to achieve its goals under Baylor 2012.The Board had hoped to transition to a new president gradually, officially beginning the presidential search in January 2009 and eventually replacing Baylor President John M. We are so glad Baylor Board of Regents have made this decision to find a new president. We are so proud of Baylor and want to see Baylor University move in the right direction. SIC'EM BEARS!
